UPDATE: Go here to vote, polls are open until April 30th.
As has become our practice we like to announce the nominees for the Best Short Story on the Web category one week ahead of the other categories. We hope that will allow voters enough time to read all of the stories before voting.
In one week the full list of 2011 Spinetingler Award nominees will be announced. The Spinetingler Award nominees have been selected by an editorial panel and the winners will be determined by public vote through an online voting system.
After the jump you will find the ten nominees with appropriate links. I hope you will take the time to read each of them before casting your vote next week.

This is really special. So many thanks. I’ve a couple of good reads that I don’t know about, too, so I can’t wait to catch up.
I wanted to see my name up there so badly, I can’t tell you. It was one of those hold your breath moments.
It’s a real honour.

Smashing. Some of my favourites there!
congrats to these deserving folks – my reading pleasure is much enriched by each – well done.
It’s such a marvel and an honor to be on this list – and it’s such a delight to share it with some of my friends and favored stories. There are tales that I chanced upon, tales that were recommended to me by trusted talents and tales from authors I’m blessed to count as close friends.
My best to everyone and my deep thanks to Spinetingler.
Hell, give it to everybody. There ain’t no way to choose between ‘em. Every one of them is astounding.
Congrats to all nominees. I have read some, and can’t wait to read the others. Best of luck everyone!
Look at those names and stories– Wow! For Pillow Talk to be listed among them is an incredible honor and incredible F*cking woohoo moment! Thank you for the nomination, and thank you to Beat to a Pulp (David Cranmer) for publishing the story. A big congrats to all the nominees!
Now, that list just smacks of quality and oozes class.
Big congrats to all of you!
Trying to remain impartial, but particularly chuffed for Lily and Jodi, whose crackin’ stories I recently reviewed.
I’ll be reading all the stories before voting.
Regards & Respect,
Col
Voting will be difficult, no doubt about it. This is a crop of damn fine writers. Every one of these nominees is deserving.
Here’s a serious list of stories from some truly outstanding writers…is a ten-way tie possible?
This is so cool! Congrats to everyone!
What an honor. Thank you for the nomination. Brian, it would be great if you could link to my website – peter-swanson.com – instead of my blog. Cheers, Peter
