The mystery & crime field is large and varied and we think that this diverse selection of books represent some of the best that it has to offer. Selections were tough and after some difficult decisions some very good books just barely missed the cut.
Spinetingler would like to congratulate all of the nominees.

I’m very excited to see Lynn Kostoff’s Late Rain among the nominees. It was my favorite from 2010–a really remarkable work of fiction.
All the stories are of a very high standard.
Lily Childs’ Carpaccio is one of the best.
