There are some changes for 2012 that I just want to mention real quick.
First, I will be temporarily stepping in as fiction editor for Jack. He’s got some things to take care of and needs the time to do so. He’ll be back, don’t worry.
Second, we are also going to be raiding the archives in 2012. We want to blow the dust off of those old issues and re-post some of that fiction.
Third, we are planning on publishing flash fiction on a regular basis in 2012. We are working out the details and will announce when that is all set.
Finally, We are going to be switching formats a little as well. We plan on publishing groups of six stories together in Kindle “issues”. When a new issue is published we will then post the stories from the previous issue here on the site.
Spinetingler used to only publish issues before we switched to the current blog-zine format a couple of years ago. This is a hybrid of the two and will make sure that the fiction we publish is properly showcased and not pushed off screen by reviews. Authors will continue to be paid the standing rate for their fiction. Proceeds from the sale of the Kindle issues will help to cover the costs of running Spinetingler and pay for more fiction.

Cool, Brian. So much work for you though.
You have no idea
I certainly think seeing some of those archive stories will be great. some gems there.
Some very positive changes happening here! Good luck with all that is to come.
Just a heads up that the submission guidelines page still says they are closed. The automated e-mail does, too.
The Kindle issues are a great idea.
Yeah, I really like the Kindle issues idea.
