2012 Pull List

January 9, 2012

What is a pull list? A pull list is a comics term that refers to the monthly titles that a store will hold aside for one of their customers. In other words, the titles that a reader wants to read each month. So what follows are the 2012 titles that I am looking forward to reading without restriction to genre with a brief note as to whether I have a copy of it.

I’ve always kept a list like this and decided to keep it publicly this year. I’ll be updating this list as time goes on and I hear about new titles.

Doug Johnstone’s Hit and Run has been delayed to March. Frank Bill’s Donnybrook as far as I remember will be out in fall.

A new Chercover is long overdue for me, same with the new Doolittle.

Was bummed there was no new McFetridge last year so Tumblin’ Dice is highly anticipated. Excited to finally get a peek at Donnybrook too.

Very much appreciate this list; at least now I will know where my money went.

    a couple additions:

The Flame Alphabet by Ben Marcus in January

Threats by Amelia Gray in March

I’m looking forward to the Chaon collection in Feb in particular. Need to read Gylnn too. His name keeps cropping up.

  • No love for Robert Crais’ TAKEN out in a couple weeks?

Lots of good books to read this year.

    Forgot to mention one more:

Nate Flexer’s new one Corrosion is due out sometime next fall. I just finished reading the ARC, and it is a powerful piece of writing, and it may turn out to be Flexer’s breakout book. It will definitely be one worth checking out.

    Lynn-

Looking forward to the new Flexer. Very big fan of Disassembled Man.

Peter Farris’ Last Call For The Living coming out in May looks good to me too.
